It is one happiest moment of my life :) My Parents crossed the 50 years of Marriage Life.This 50 years is not an easy path for them, lots of challenges through out 50 years of life journey, My Dad worked at HAL and My Mom House maker and care taker for entire family .......
They started their journey of life with no financial support and took all challenges positively and overcome at every stage. lot of challenges ... lot of events.... lot of caring to the people around .... lot of supports to others, my Dad never retired , he started small business after HAL and even today he (78) works , even today he want to engage himself in working, I always remember his focus, dedication and hard work which is a guide to over come any problem in our daily life.
We, as family , were very excited to celebrate the 50th Year Marriage Anniversary.
Myself, My wife( Rashmi) My Brother( Vishwa), My Sisters( Uma & Suma), My Sister in law( Dhakshayini),My brother in Law( Harish and Krishnamurthy) got together and had a plan to celebrate.
The Invitation :
we all knew it is easy to get the invitation card, we can easily go out and get card from market , but the thing is what should we write on that .....??we wanted to write something meaning full and original , something which should transfer our thoughts into words.
My wife scripted the initial scripting , we picked from there and fine tuned it. Here is the Invitation.
With this script we went to Printo shop and got it printed it out.
The CAKE
we wanted order the cake and we thought we will order it online, but we could not able to select and we thought we will have issue on the delivery time of the cake. we wanted the cake should be delivered few minutes before the function....
we went to cake shop near Vijayanagar and ordered the one which we liked. it was again tough selecting out of categories. Finally we selected the below cake, which was awesome :) and three steps decorated with real Rose flowers with Vanila :))
The Flower
We wanted the flower decoration to be very simple but very colourful, we did not wanted to use verticals bars but we wanted have semi circle
we all selected the following design, which came out very colour full. the stage was decorated with sunflower. nice ...:)
On June 28th.
We were anxious and all of us were feeling something different that day. Every one in the family assembled at sharp 7:00 AM to make preparation for the Pooja
The day started with conducting Pooja at home, we had vacated our 2nd floor so that close family members can participate. we did Gana homa, Ayusha Homa and Vishwakarma Home to bring happiness, prosperity, peace and long living life to our family along with sarva jano sukino bhavanthu...
Relatives and friends arrived early in the morning and were present till the POORNA AHUTHI.
we all wished for long life of our dad and mom and took ashirvad from them.

In the Evening
People from villages where my dad and Mom were born and spent early life were welcomed .Relatives of time line, friends and well wishers of my dad and mom arrived on time. my brother wanted my parents to take red carpet walk onto the stage along with family, we all assembled and we started moving towards the stage.
Then event of lighting the Deepa, Exchange of Garland, Cutting the Cake , Wishing the pair, everything went one after the other, we were spectators after that and all friends and relative came and wished for their Marriage Anniversary.
I wish my parents Happy Married life and live long and hope to see many many anniversaries.

The FOOD
The food was very different , we wanted it to be different in nature and we wanted it should be made by somebody outsider of Bangalore, we took reference from one of my friends and we contacted the cook who is located in Shivamogga, thirtha halli, to our luck the cook was in Bangalore and prepared the food in MALNAD style : the menu had HOBBATU, MANGO Shekaran, JACK FRUIT PAYASA, PINAPPLE GRAVY,AKKIROTI,PULAV and CAPSICUM BAJJI... hahaha...Rasa Bojana, it was prepared very well and served very well.
